Decoursey and Jensen Earn Skyline Player of the Week Honors

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday morning, and amongst the winners were junior Ryan Decoursey and graduate student Mark Jenson, who were named Players of the Week for baseball and men's volleyball, respectively.  

Additionally, senior Kevin Czeczotka (MBB), junior Jack Gilbride (MLAX), and sophomore Julia Ruocchio (SB) appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls in their respective sports.

Ryan Decoursey (Jr.) – Baseball Player of the Week
The shortstop had a tremendous week for the Golden Eagles, hitting .556 going 10-for-18 at the plate across the week.  Decoursey recorded two doubles and two home runs while also driving in seven runs and scoring seven runs of his own. The junior held a .550 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. In game one of a doubleheader against USMMA, Ryan hit a two-run shot and scored three runs to help lead the Golden Eagles to a 10-2 victory. This is Decoursey's second career Skyline Conference Player of the Week accolade.

Mark Jensen (Gr.) – Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
Jensen finished with a team-best 28 kills, averaging 3.50 kills per set while hitting at a .533 clip in a 3-0 week for the Golden Eagles. The right-side hitter added 17 digs (2.13/set), five blocks, and two aces. The graduate student had a match-high 15 kills and hit .414 with 12 digs and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Ramapo on Saturday afternoon and is Player of the Week for the first time in his career. 

Kevin Czeczotka (Sr.) - Baseball Weekly Honor Roll
Czeczotka picked up his first win of the season with a seven-inning complete-game effort in game one against USMMA on Saturday. The senior allowed just two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts in a 10-2 win. Czeczotka graces the Honor Roll for the third time in his career.

Jack Gilbride (Jr.) - Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll
Gilbride scored a game-best three goals and added an assist in SJC's 20-6 win at Mithcell College on Sunday afternoon. The junior was credited with six shots and two ground balls on the afternoon. Gilbride lands on the Weekly Honor Roll for the second-straight week.

Julia Ruocchio (So.) - Softball Weekly Honor Roll
Ruocchio went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, three runs, a triple, and two walks in a doubleheader split with William Paterson on Saturday afternoon. In a game-two defeat, the sophomore hit 2-for-2 and drove in three runs, two of which came via a bases-clearing triple. Ruocchio appears on the Weekly Honor Roll for the second week in a row.
