Curaro, Tabada Earn Skyline Weekly Honors

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning, and amongst the winners were graduate student Paul Curaro, who was named Men's Volleyballball Player of the Week, and freshman Alec Tabada (men's basketball), who garnered Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week accolades. 

Paul Curaro (Gr.) - Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
Curaro led the Golden Eagles with 27 kills, averaging 3.86 kills per set, in two matches last week (SJC 2-0). The outside hitter served nine aces, averaging 1.29 per set with 17 digs and two total blocks. Curaro recorded a team-high 17 kills with seven digs and three aces in a 3-1 win over Arcadia University. He garners Player of the Week honors for the fifth time in his career. 

Alec Tabada (Fr.) - Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Tabada powered SJC to two victories last week, averaging 19.5 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 17-of-27 from the floor. The forward netted 17 points in Wednesday's win over Purchase and added a 22-point (10-of-15 FG), 11-rebound double-double with two blocks in Sunday's win over USMMA. Tabada earns Rookie of the Week accolades for the fourth time this season.
