Women's Basketball Topples Sarah Lawrence, 95-53

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball team remains unbeaten in the Danzi Center this season with a 95-53 win over Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 4-1 on the season with a 2-1 record in conference play. The Gryphons move to 3-3 overall, 1-2 Skyline.

Junior Alyssa Adomaites led all players with 27 points on 12-for-21 shooting from the field while finishing with six steals and three assists. Alyssa Signor came just one board shy of a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. The senior also recorded four steals and four assists. Freshman Felicia Barreiros went 4-for-5 from the field and 3-for-4 from three-point range to finish with 15 points off the bench.

Kumi Tamura led the Gryphons with 22 points and three steals. Kendal Haymore pitched in with 10 points and Madelisia Valoga recorded six. Camryn Davis led all players with 10 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles led wire-to-wire shooting a season-best 52.1% from the field and 43.8% from beyond the arc. The hosts outrebounded the Gryphons 43-38 while turning 22 SLC turnovers into 33 points.

St. Joseph's returns to the Danzi Center on Wednesday, December 1 when they host the College of Mt. St. Vincent at 5:30 pm.
