Women's Basketball Drops Skyline Decision to Mt. St. Mary

Newburgh, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team dropped a Skyline Conference decision to Mt. St. Mary College on Thursday evening.

The 88-61 loss moved the Golden Eagles to 6-3 on the season with a 4-3 Skyline record. The Knights improve to 6-2 overall, 4-0 Skyline.

Senior Alyssa Signor finished with 17 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field and completed a double-double with 15 rebounds while dishing five assists. Junior Alyssa Adomaites also finished with 17 points with Julianna Knice pitching in with nine points.

MSMC's offense showed balanced scoring with four Knights finishing in double figures. Lauren Desrats had a game-high 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting. Kate Smith was 7-for-12 from the floor knocking down 17 points and Toriana Tabasco and Morina Bojka recorded 16 points apiece.

As a team, the Knights finished shooting 45.1% while holding the Golden Eagles to 34. 8%. SJC held a slight 47-44 edge in rebounds, but MSMC came away with 36 points in the paint to St. Joseph's 34.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, December 11 when they travel to face Baruch College at 12:00 pm.
