Signor Scores 1000th Point in Senior Night Win Over Old Westbury

Patchogue, NY| Senior Alyssa Signor reached 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds on Senior Night in the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball 75-56 win over the SUNY Old Westbury Panthers in a Skyline matchup on Tuesday evening.
The Golden Eagles bounced back from their loss at Farmingdale last weekend, improving to a 10-8 Skyline record and 13-8 overall. The Panthers fall to 6-12 in Skyline play and 7-13 overall.
In one of her final games in the Danzi Center, Signor scored 23 points and collected 12 rebounds to record her fifth consecutive double-double and her 11th of the season in her milestone performance for the Golden Eagles.
Junior Alyssa Adomaites shot 6-for-8 from three-point range and contributed 23 points in the win, while Freshman Brianna Cordell added a game-high 15 rebounds.
Cherish Francis scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Panthers. Ja'nya Flash and Allysha Thomas each contributed 13 boards.
Leading by five after the first quarter, the Golden Eagles went on a 12-2 run to begin the second quarter and scored 25 total points in the frame to finish the first half of play up 41-17.
St. Joseph's took a 30 point lead on a three-pointer by Adomaites with 6:00 on the clock in the third, which would be their largest lead of the night
At the 2:34 mark in the final frame, Signor connected with a free throw to collect her 1,000th career point. Her 500th career rebound came less than two minutes prior on what was a defensive board with 4:03 left of play.
St. Joseph's posted a 37.7% shooting percentage, while SUNY Old Westbury shot 26.1% from the field.
The Golden Eagles host the Farmingdale State Rams in their final home game of the regular season on Thursday, February 17 at 7:00 pm in the Danzi Center.
