New York, NY| Freshman Justin Turner of the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's basketball team was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week, when the conference released its weekly award on Tuesday morning
Additionally, Xavier Allen was named to the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll.
Justin Turner (Fr.) - Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Turner totaled 20 points on 6-for-11 shooting (54.5%) from the field in the Golden Eagles' one game of the week. The guard added six rebounds with a team-high seven assists. The freshman was 5-for-10 from three-point range and was a perfect 3-for-3 at the free throw line.
Xavier Allen (Jr.) - Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
Allen led the Golden Eagles in scoring with another 26-point performance. The guard completed the double-double with a team-leading 10 rebounds. The junior shot 5-8 from three-point range, while adding a pair of assists and one steal. Allen also hit two free throws with four seconds left in the game to send the game into overtime.
