Allen Collects All-Met Honors

New York, NY| Junior Xavier Allen of the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's basketball team earned All-Met Third-Team Honors when the Met Basketball Writers Association released its 2023 end-of-season awards on Tuesday morning. 

Allen, led the Golden Eagles on the year with a total of 425 points, averaging 17.0 points per game both of which were good for a team-high and fourth in the conference. The junior also placed top-10 in the conference and second on the team in rebounding averaging 7.8 a game, while recording 1.6 steals per game good for sixth in the conference. 

The guard is amongst the conference leaders in shooting percentage, shooting 42.1% from the field, and added 1.6 three-point field goals made shooting 36.0% from beyond the arc. 

The Mattituck, NY native garnered the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll on five occasions this season while being named Skyline Conference Player of the Week once.
