79 Golden Eagles named to Skyline Conference Fall Honor Roll
New York, NY| A total of 79 St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) student-athletes were named to the Skyline Conference's 2022 Fall Academic Honor Roll, as announced by Commissioner Linda Bruno on Monday afternoon.
"It is an honor to recognize these student-athletes, who truly exemplify what the student-athlete experience is all about," Bruno said. "Their ability to excel academically and athletically is a testament to the hard work and dedication they put in."
The Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.3-grade point average while competing in men's and women's cross country, golf, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball.
All seven Skyline-sponsored St. Joseph's fall sports programs received selections with women's soccer garnering a department-best 23. Men's soccer (17) and men's cross country (10) rounded out the top three.
Additionally, sophomore Gianna Dickson was named women's cross country Scholar-Athlete of the Year which is presented in each sport to the first-team All-Skyline performer who carries the highest grade point average (minimum 3.30) for the semester in which the student-athlete competes. Dickson took sixth at the Championships and helped power the Golden Eagles to a second-place finish.
