Decoursey and Lynch Named D3baseball.com and ABCA All-Region

Patchogue, NY| Juniors John Lynch and Ryan Decoursey of the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) baseball team earned All-Region accolades when the publications released their end-of-season awards on Tuesday morning.

Lynch landed on the D3baseball.com First-Team with Decoursey claiming Second-Team honors. Additionally, Decoursey was named to the ABCA/Rawlings First-Team.

Decoursey posted the second-best batting average in the conference (.453) and recorded the second-highest slugging percentage (.741). The shortstop led the Golden Eagles in RBIs (46), runs (46), home runs (9), and hits (63). He hit a team-best .417 (5-for-12) with a double, homerun 2 RBIs, and three runs scored in the NCAA Winchester Regional and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Lynch hit .435 good for third in the Skyline. The designated hitter sits with 38 RBIs and a team-leading 17 doubles. He finished the season with 29 runs scored and a .667 slugging percentage.

Players chosen to the D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Teams are eligible for All-American selection.

This is the 10th year D3baseball.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 15th annual All-American selections.

The 2022 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
