Decoursey and Lynch Earn All-ECAC Recognition

Danbury, CT| Juniors Ryan Decoursey and John Lynch of the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) baseball team earned All-ECAC honors when the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association (ECAC) released its end-of-season awards on June 7.

Decoursey collected his third All-Region honor this year after landing on the First-Team with Lynch picking up his second All-Region recognition with an Honorable Mention nod.

Decoursey posted the second-best batting average in the conference (.453) and recorded the second-highest slugging percentage (.741). The shortstop led the Golden Eagles in RBIs (46), runs (46), home runs (9), and hits (63). He hit a team-best .417 (5-for-12) with a double, homerun 2 RBIs, and three runs scored in the NCAA Winchester Regional and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Lynch hit .435 good for third in the Skyline. The designated hitter sits with 38 RBIs and a team-leading 17 doubles. He finished the season with 29 runs scored and a .667 slugging percentage.

ABOUT THE ECAC
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-two-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II, and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments, and other competitions throughout the Northeast.
