Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award
Greensboro, NC| The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team garnered American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award honors as presented by Sports Attack on Wednesday morning.
Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2021-22 academic year.
More than 420 collegiate programs were recognized this year with 155 named in Division III.
Joining the St. Joseph's from the Skyline Conference in recognition were Farmingdale State and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
The Golden Eagles (24-14) were crowned Skyline regular-season and tournament champions and made an appearance at the NCAA Div. III Regional Tournament.
