The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) baseball team picked up a pair of Skyline Conference wins at Mt. St. Mary College on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore James Maggio led the Golden Eagles at the plate finishing 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored

Senior Ryan Decoursey went 2-for-4 and also had two RBIs and a run scored

St. Joseph's starter sophomore Jack Kelly took a no-hitter into the bottom of the seventh before it was broken up by a bloop single into center by Anthony Franco. Kelly improves to 2-1 on the season after allowing three runs on one hit with five strikeouts in a complete game effort
How it happened:

St. Joseph's was first on the board when three consecutive singles produced a run in the top of the first

Another two runs came across in the top of the second for the Golden Eagles with RBIs from Mike Badala and Jake Giannico

Maggio led off the top of the third with a single to left and came into score on a double by Decoursey. Two batters later Decoursey came in on a wild pitch extending the SJLI lead to 5-0

The Golden Eagles added two runs in the top of the sixth via a two-RBI single up the middle by Maggio

The Knights got on the board with three runs in the bottom of the seventh by way of two RBI walks and a sac fly by Liam Merlin

MSMC's Matthew Borriello (2-1) got the loss after allowing seven runs on nine hits in six innings

This was Jack Kelly's first complete game as a Golden Eagle

Senior Phil Krpata went 3-for-4 with a home run. The right fielder knocked in three runs while scoring one

Decoursey added two more hits including his second double of the day and a run scored

Senior Nick Vicino recorded a pair of hits with an RBI and a run scored

Junior Andrew Monda earned the win allowing just one run on eight hits while fanning five
How it happened:

After the first four innings went scoreless, Decoursey led off the top of the fifth with a double in the right-center gap. John Lynch followed with a single putting runners on the corners with no outs setting up an RBI single from Joe Sanguedolce

A batter later, Krpata blasted a three-run home run to left pushing the score to 4-0

Maggio added to the Golden Eagle lead with a solo shot to start the top of the sixth

The Knights pushed a run across in the bottom of the eighth when Robert Brust tripled to start the inning and came in to score on a single to center from Franco

St. Joseph's tacked on another run in the top of the ninth when Vicino knocked in Krpata who reached on a bunt single a batter before

Michael Manzolillo provided an inning of scoreless relief allowing just one hit with two strikeouts

Mary's Brian Gregory went the distance surrendering six runs on 11 hits
