Results:

The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's basketball came away with a 76-52 Skyline Conference win over St. Joseph's University (BK) on Thursday evening.

Top performers:

• Senior Alyssa Adomaites finished with a game-high 16 points with four assists and four steals
• Senior Catherine Siounis dropped in a season-high 16 points on 8-for-12 shooting while grabbing five boards
• Junior Lanyah Ford pitched in with 13 points completing a double-double with 10 rebounds
• Senior Julianna Knice added eight points and nine rebounds while dishing a game-best eight assists
• SJBK's Destiny Hurt matched a game-bet 19 points with seven boards
• Grace Kennedy came off BK's bench for 11 points

How it happened: 

• SJLI led wire-to-wire after Ford dropped in a layup on the Golden Eagles' first possession
• The Bears shot just 21.1% and were limited to nine points in the opening frame and went into the second trailing 24-9
• Both teams knocked down 22 points in the second quarter with the Golden Eagles led by freshman Emma Kelly's seven points and the visitors went into the break leading 46-31 
• A 12-0 run in favor of the Bears in the third cut the deficit to just five, 54-49, with 1:39 left in the quarter
• Ayomide Adeoye's layup with 33 seconds on the clock put SJBK within three, 55-52, but Siounis answered with a jumper on the following possession to send the Golden Eagles into the final frame leading 57-52
• SJLI shutout the Bears in the fourth quarter and cruised to a 76-52 win

Notes: 

• The Golden Eagles shot 41.8% from the field while holding the Bears to just 30%
• BK committed 23 turnovers resulting in 24 points in favor of the LI
